Emissions Readiness on 4.2L AWN
« on: July 24, 2018, 02:26:43 PM »
Hey guys,
I'm going to be swapping this engine into a vehicle which cannot produce a VSS signal to the ECU, but which requires full OBD-II emissions testing.
Will this have any impact on the readiness state of the emissions monitors? I'm thinking/worried that the monitors will never read "OK" since there may be a requirement for distance traveled as part of the checking process, and this information comes from the VSS signal via CANBUS.
I appreciate the help!
Thanks.
