Thats not good, I tought Me7.1.1 = Me7.1.1

So the magic Question is, what will work ?
Does it have to be only petrol or does it have to be from a V6, from a Turbo ?

One of two things have happened:

It's not an ME7
It wasn't a diesel

Hmm, okay I'll going to look for a petrol ECU.

Anyone interested in a 2,5 TDI ECU ?  Grin

If the flash does interuppt and you know the checksum is ok.  just re-flash it without trying to start the car.   It will over-write fine.  Issue is when the ECU is tried to start it will brick up

ive even got 1 key cycle too before it bricks. ive had situation where i could reconnect but it would stall flash at where it was originally interrupted. cycle the key once and reconnect and flashed away. this is happened on me7.5 and me7.1.1 before

If you are in the market for a tune and would like the ease of downloading and flashing a dyno tested tune for a fair price check out https://instatune.sellfy.store/

I soft bricked mine once - spent the best part of a morning making a bench cable and reading up on bootmode etc.

I learnt the hard way, and now keep a spare ECU which is immo off and ready to go
