No manifold explosions, just the sound of the turbo whistling at 12 PSI and a healthy 9.5 AFR to keep temperature under control It works retarding ignition acording to AL_MAX_IGN_ADV map at the same time it opens the throttle as specified by AL_MAXTHROTTLE and set lambts_w to AL_MAX_LAMDA. Here is the ALS FR: Logs: There are some things I have yet to solve, but it looks promising.

Of course you not going to blow up anything with ALS, this thread is about exhaust system durability. I'm expanding the options, this ALS is totally configurable. You can choose from: Normal ALS Normal ALS with lambda control Throttled ALS with retarded ignition

That was my question though... Has anybody broken any manifolds? I'm still running stock airgap manifolds and haven't had any issues despite flat out abuse of the alnls... I was worried when I first tried it but I haven't suffered any ill effects. ... yet

That's good to know, but I'm not worried about the manifold, but the durability of the turbo. I found that a 10 AFR calms most of the explosion produced by ignition cut, unless you like the bang noise, of course

I wrote three functions: Lambda enrichment, KFZW limit and throttle limit. To cut ignition I'm using setsi's function and the bosch's table lookup functions.

This looks promising, i didnt think -24 deg was enough to build boost at those rpms.. can it be "backed" further than this? (may be enough on these turbos, but perhaps not on big ones..) ..and is there a need to cut the spark when you have the throttle controlling the rpms, and perhaps fuel-cut as safety..?

I will resume this next week, I been working on others projects
Regarding to retarding ignition more than -24deg, there is a limit hardcoded in ZWGRU function which is easily bypassable, but I remember to have read that the -24deg limit is imposed by the ignition driver.

-24deg is enough to make more that 10psi without spark cut, which I think is more than enough to launch a fwd.
