Hi!

I wonder if it exists any software to read and dump a RB8 cluster, in car thru the OBD2 port?
Any risk to brick the cluster when you read it?
My cluster is an 8E0920901G RB8 and seems to be IMMO3.

I downloaded this cluster dump http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=8051.0title= and tested
it with this software I downloaded from http://www.audi-crypto-tools.co.nf/news.php
and I did get the SKC login code. But it could just be fake, SKC-code, software and all.

Or could I adapt RB4 cluster and ECU from an 1.8t A4 B6 into my B7?
B6 stuff seems easier to recode, adapt and all that stuff.

My car is a A4 B7 1.8t (BFB) Quattro 6speed MT.

You can use vagdashcan or fvdi

The rb4 cluster from b6 wont work

What do you want to do?

Initially I just want to make a backup of my cluster, get the SKC and so on.

Also want to adapt spare cluster and ECU to the car.

If I'm gonna fiddle around with trying to tune the car and also possible brick something or just changing too much.
I want to be able to restore cluster, ECU.

The best way is the read the eeprom from cluster after desoldering - then you have a true backup read by programeer

Then you can play aroud and restore it after bricking

Would you guys happen to have the Audi crypto tool or a install of the deja vu 93c program my rb8 cluster has no connection on k line I am able to read the 24c chip using the ch341a chip programmer but from what I read is that the Mac and CS is located in the 24c08 read but it's incryped. At this point I'm not sure where I go to clone this cluster or adapt it to the ecu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
