Hi guys, I have upgraded my ECU to mE7 from m3.8.3 by changing engine looms and the like, It runs perfect except i am having to use an immo emulator box to allow it to run.

The car is a 1999 Facelift Audi A4 1.8t and AFAIK its immo 2, the dash seems to confirm this and it adapts fine but ecu fails ti let it start.

I have the SKC i drew off using Vagtacho, and i also have the following clone tools available to me:

MPPS
Vagtacho
Vagcom
VagCommander
Galleto 1260
, can i use any of these tools to disable the immo to allow me to remove the box and enable logging via Vagcom as the car if fitted with a GTRS and larger MAF and injectors, i'd like to tune it correctly.

Can i maybe get a soic adapter and drag the immo file from the 94c ?? Chip to "fix " it with my willem progger or can it be done with the normal tools.

I sent you a pm via asn.. I am happy to do it for you but, id say give it ago yourself. You just need your vagcom cable and the small Dos application that's listed here.

ECu needs to be in bootmode.

then run the progam in DOS with the following comands

-r -b 10400 -p ( which ever com port your vag com is on ) XXX.bin ( what ever you name it)

Then once you have the file open it in a hex editor

Then Change bits 012 and 022 from 01 to 02 and update the checksum by subracting 01 from 1e and 2e

save this file and then write back to eeprom using the Tool above with the following

-w -b 10400 -p ( comport number ) xxx.bin ( your modified bin )

and away you go an immo defeated ECU

Pm me if your stuck...
