Hey Everyone I'm John.
Currently and electrical engineering student. Was a technician for 5 years before that.
Looking to write my own tunes.
Currently Drive a B6 A4 Avant. 1.8t Apr software stage 1. Exhaust, intake, downpipes, diverter valve.
Want to make the most of what I have before I blow it up and put another engine it. Cheers.
What up dude? I'm from Saratoga ny so close kinda. In order to max out the stock turbo on a b6 you need larger injectors. B6 cars use a returnees fueling system, the fuel rail has static 4 bar fuel pressure. Unlike return systems with a pressure on rise regulator, your fuel system keeps 4 bar all the time regardless of manifold pressure. As boost goes up fuel pressure stays the same . Because the intake manifold has pressure in it when you go into boost the fuel has to overcome the pressure in the intake manifold. So the higher you rev the smaller the window time for fuel to inject. And the higher the boost the less fuel will he injected. Short version... You need bigger injectors to max out your stock turbo or convert to return fueling (b5 fuel rail and fuel filter)
