New day, new problem.

I am really struggling with my ECU. At first I tried to read EEPROM to get Immo Off, couldn't read it with ArgDub tool or Vag Commander. So I got the EEPROM desoldered and a a local dealer could fix it with a burner.

So now I try to connect and read the flash. I tried with NefMoto but couldn't. Then i ordered a MPPS V18 clone on Ebay, it has the ME7.1.1 R32 in the menu, so i figured it would do it, but I couldn't, it says security access and after that timeout...

I believe it has the ST10 chip, should I be worried that I might lock the ECU, I read somewhere that this ECU is a bit of a nightmare ? Or is that wrong ?

Is there any other way I can read/write with my newly bought MPPS V18 clone ?

Yes, I already read that thread, but as that was a question regarding k-tag I didn't thought I could use the information for reading with MPPS.

My disc is like Family 539 or HW III Family 53 (They seems the same?). I can get it to bootmode with a 1K ohm resistor to CNF1 and grounding boot pin for 3 sec.

I will try to read via can connection, and later in boot mode as last option, but i'm a bit affraid to lock the ECU ? Should i be?  Huh

Thanks, I solved the issue by reading the file via CAN.
