Hey guys, just got my car a few days ago. I own a 2001 Audi A4/B5 1.8t AWM manual trans. I understand I'll need a cable, the nefmoto and TunerPro software to get started. I'm curious if there is anyone else here with the same car as myself and if there is a complete Noob write up for how to get started with my car? If not, maybe a couple different write up? lol I'll order whatever cable is recommended for my car. Thanks guys!

Get an FT232 based cable or an MPPS, read file, read s4wiki etc.

Thank you gor the response! I did start reading the noob tutorials after posting this. I found a recommended cable on Ebay and ordered that. I did start reading s4wiki. I've done work with my 944 turbo and 95 BMW 530i in tunerpro but all that was a while ago. I need to freshen up and familiarize myself with this ECU. Both of those were chips so flashing the ecu is new to me. I do have a question, am I able to find a similar ECU flash it with the read from my ecu and itll work in my car? If that's the case I'd like to pull a 2nd ecu to use for flashing and keep my factory ecu as backup.

^ That is actually recommended, if you wanna crossflash similar flashes AFAIK there is no real telling if it works until you do it Smiley
