goodmorning,
I need clarification regarding a some delta I got between command and actual boost during high rpm
the turbo installed is the TD04L

I was thinking it happened due to:

1)may be small turbo cannot get high pressure at high rpm?
2)the setting of  the wastegate can impact the pressure at that high rpm? or only the overboost pressure?

attached you can see the log of the pressure and the setup of duty cicle limit of N75 by KFLDIMX

thank you so much.

okay and the problem is?

its physics, if your wg is shut @ 95% and turbo will not make anymore boost  Roll Eyes

my doubts are:

If wastergate DC is 95%, can happened that the phisical condition is not like this, due to a bad setting of the his threaded bar?
I'm thinking that may be the N75 try to keep closed the WG (with a 95% DC) but due to a wrong mechanical regolation it is opening anyway and no keep the pressure.
I remember that who tune my car  played a little bit with that regulation in order to remove an overboost excess.

if all write above is wrong, it sould be a limit of my TD04L ?
in case I have to re tune the KFLDRL according to the actual output for good practice?

thank you again

Yes, that is possible

Entirely up to you. If you are having boost control issues, it would be a good idea, especially if you experience part throttle boost control issues.

How big is this TD04L compared to a K04-022/23 ?
How much boost does it produce without N75 plugged or in other words with 0% wgdc?
This is a good way to set the preload of your wastegate.

TD04L approximately is same to K04-022.

I calculated the CFM at 5000rpm, it is 310, so as per compressor map I'm near a limit (360)  but with a little bit chance to increase
my strategy to try to improve it is showing on the attached graphic with comments.

there is also a question about an issue that i cannot understand.
in order to get very close the cmd pressure with actual,  on the rpm with max boost I set 77% duty cicle WG on the map KFLDIMX, but still actual it is around 83 and the two pressures have a mismatch.
why no follow the limit set on that map?

thank you
