I can rebuild a 5v head no problem, but I suck at finding info on forums..

Basic info, mk1 TT 225 6spd (01)
Kid I bought it from tried to fix the pixel problem himself and fried the board in the cluster.
I got a used cluster
I cant get the data out of the original cluster, so no pin.

So Im trying to get into the ECM;
8n0 906 018K
On my bench rig I still get immo blocking access,

I guess I need to open the thing in boot mode,,but I cant find that information...there is a pin to ground,,and I cant find that on the forum..possibly pin 24,,but I really dont want to brick this thing..
