So I'm pretty new to learning how to tune, so I ordered a tune from J-Fonz. I flashed it to my car with nefmoto, and then decided to make some changes to the tune because I want to learn how and wanted to start off easy. I used the 8D0907551M-20120516.xdf and made some changes to the tune through tunerpro. I have a 2001 a6 2.7t apb engine with a tiptronic. I just wanted to know if I used the correct files to make the tune before I reflash it. Sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot. Thanks.

You make changes using an XDF to suit the file you have.  Not some random XDF for some random file.

Also, what are you changing, why are you changing it, what do you think it'll do, how will you prove it worked?

I was just trying to correct the fuel consumption on the display since I've already ran it dry because it said I had 100 miles left. I have the file from my car and loaded it as a .bin, but it didn't load a .xdf. I downloaded the .xdf from the stock tune for my car. I definitely feel like I'm doing this all wrong and just want to be sure that I'm not going to load something to the ecu and then brick it because I did it wrong. Thank you
