Hi Guy's,
As the title says really. I see throughout the forum references to "feed forward".

As I've mentioned before though, I came here from an older world where tuning was done with metal, not code so I just don't know...
I thought that if I just keep on and read more I would grasp it but I haven't and I want to understand whats being referred to here so I just have to ask now really.

When it comes to ME7 guy's, what is "feed forward"...

open loop (fueling for example) is 100% feed forward.

Incidentally, the terms "feed forward" and "open loop" probably predate your birth date.

I am pretty sure it is related to the PID , and how it works. EDIT : Not only it seems Tongue Ive seen in it usage with PID systems Tongue

"PID" itself (generally) implies no feed forward.
