I assume since the RS6 has wideband EGT, BTS is driven by the real EGT values, not the model, but I don't get how it is supposed to work.

KFLBTS is 1.5 in "normal" regions, and 1.0 in "enrich" regions. Furthermore, KFDLBTS appears to be zero, which means DLBTS is totally disabled.

Does this sound right or is my mappack wrong?

I'm using 4D1907558-0002 and the well known A2L for it.

From prj:

Quote
RS6 has a 3D target EGT map for each bank and BTS is not used.
The idea of BTS is to pre-enrich before ATR kicks in on cars that have EGT's fitted.

BTS is disabled on RS6 and 1.8T BAM.
They have wideband EGT's.

If you want broadband sensors you need to fit the entire thing.
The control boards and the sensors are different.

Got BTS/ATR all sorted, thanks.

Will post a mappack once I get it cleaned up.

Still worried about

1) Read seems flaky
2) reports of p0601

any insight to either?

Some versions have tuning protection, that's all I am gonna say about it.

How much can be altered before the protection is triggered?

nada can be changed, don't use those and stick to the advice given previously in this or other related threads.

Is there obfuscated code that checks the RSA pubkey being used?

Use a different SW version which doesn't have tp.

Yes, I understand that is the preferred solution. However, I'm curious as to how the newer RS6 files implement it.

Then run it, log it, and open IDA.

Just wondering if anyone was willing to share. Time permitting I would do so but I have sporadic access to this car so remote logging for the purposes of IDA reverse engineering is going to be tricky...

Then just flash a file without tuning protection.
