Hi,
I am having trouble softcoding through VAG-COM even though I am following as shown on RossTech. I have swapped my car from auto to manual. Car is running now and driving great but I am having issues with abs and ESR lights on. Also it is still showing the auto gear selection in the bottom of the dash. See image of my dash attached.

I have had the immo turned off and Eemprom reprogrammed for manual.

Any help would be appreciated

Car is allroad with 2.7t ARE engine and 551F A6 Ecu

Thanks

You have to recode the cluster as well.

Thanks Nyet, where would I find the codes required for the cluster?

I have been trying to recode the abs and it will not accept the code, am I using the wrong login code?

did you remove TCU? change adaptation of channel 60 in cluster from 1027 to 1025 , in esp/abs you should first login then recode - what login and coding are you trying?

I haven’t removed the tcu and still have the range sensor from the auto bond plugged in. Should I remove them? I don’t think the car will start if there disconnected.

The login code for the abs I was using was 07495 as per Ross tech wiki. Is this wrong? Also it will not let me open channel 60 in adaptation in cluster.

Any help appreciated thanks

you remove the TCU - you have to unplug the starter relay and shorten the 2 thick wires ( red-black or something like that )

I don't know why you can't see the channel 60 in cluster - are you sure you are in Adapation ( not meas blocks? )

I guess as long you have the TCU connected you won't change coding in ABS

Showing the auto gear selection due to the connected box unit Gear.
You need to put a jumper instead of a relay, because machine only starts in neutral and parking j207.
Need to encode block abs 07497- login abs auto
