Mk5 R32 box - MED17 ECU
« on: September 18, 2019, 08:25:55 PM »
Hi,
Working on an AWD converted Scirocco with the 2.0 TSI engine fitted. The car was always DSG, but it's had an R32 gearbox from a Mk5 swapped in (against my advice). The box works OK and holds the power well, but it's very lazy to get going from a stop (slips clutches excessively) and fails to rev match on downshift and, again, is very lazy.
Has anyone tuned this combination before and got it working? Am I chasing my tail and tell him to swap it for a later Fxx gearbox from a Golf R?
Box ori attached.
