Car Audi MK1 225 BAM 1.8T,

Hello,

After changing the injectors from 386cc to 440cc and installing an uprated fuel pump I'm having troblems with the AFR peaking & troughing at WOT, see attached screen shot.

I've changed the TVUB;

V           MS
7.96           2.098
10           1.321
11.97   0.919
14.01   0.67
15.98   0.47

and the KRKTE to 0.07404

Any ideas on how to rectify this would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Further information for clarity;

-> Bootrom Version = 05.12
-> EPK = 40/1/ME7.5/5/4018.10//24b/Dst04o/061000//

I saw this and I'm not even going to bother looking at your fueling

Are you kidding me? Did you read any of the warnings on the tuning page about the MAP limit and boost request? Your motor isn't going to last long with this level of dumb.

Question:

Let's say you have an oven.

The thermostat inside the oven can only read 450 degrees. Due to a design oversight, the oven controls go up to 500 degrees.

What happens if you set the oven to 455 degrees?

I thought it was the cheap 440cc non-branded injectors, so I purchased real Bosch 550cc 0280158117 and changed the;

TVUB to 8V-2.0002, 10V-1.3495, 12V-1.0001, 14V-0.7788, 16V-0.6187 (not 100% sure about these)

KRKTE to 0.05927

The result was the same Sad

So I have applied the factory map with the above TVUB and KRKTE with the modified LAMFRA.

The result is the same but not as pronounced.

Any Ideas\help would be most appreciated

Log, AFR screen shot & LAMFRA screen shot attached

Thanks

You've running past map with +25% regulation
What did you expect?
Try to raise frlfsdp Or fkkvs
But first of all check fuel pressure on wot

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I was hoping it would be just the TVUB, KRKTE and the KVB for the fuel display.

Is ther any where I can confirm the TVUB.

I'm at the limit of my knowledge on this;

+25% regulation of what Undecided

I see that FKKVS and FRLFSDP are both correction factors;
       What is the non RPM axis on the FKKVS
       What is RLFS is in the FRLFSDP description (Einspritzkorrektur bei RLFS)

The fuel pressure should be good as I installed a 265L\PH pump a few weeks ago, I'll have to order a fuel pressure guage to check that its OK.

Thanks

As a test I just tried using the attached table using the 44.95 PSID correction factor (to populate the TVUB), it's better but still not acceptable.

Has anyone got the voltage offsets for the Bosch 550cc 0280158117 at 3 Bar as I'm trying to find definitive offsets which someone is using and works & it's like trying to find Lord Lucan?

There are a few sources on the fountain of all truth & justice (the Internet Grin) but none of them match up, I've tried a couple without success.

Thanks

PS

Tried Bosch direct and they won't give out the information.

Changes in TVUB should not really be visible at high IDC, you'll see its effects in idle.

Trying to fix WOT fueling with TVUB isn't going to work.

Another avenue closed Sad,

Where should I be looking, the other correction tables FRLFSDP & FKKVS?

These look like another can of worms Cry

I have noticed tha these tables in the factory map are zero'd out?

Again check fuel pressure first
Even with flat fueling things should be fine

+25% lambda regulation
You're lucky one doesn't know that, running lean and not melted pistons yet

And drop down request load
Running past map generally isn't good idea at all

Absolutely not.

You need to fix primary with MLHFM, KRKTE to get to within 5% part/wot FIRST. If you can't do that then you have severe hardware issues.

Then TVUB for idle.

Then you can use KFKHFM/KFLF/FKKVS for the rest, and fine tune cold/warm start.
