Question for any experts out there. I was at the teack today and my car would cutout after first gear if i went wot too fast. Anyone know what would cause that. 1st time it happened shifting into 4th gear. The 2nd gear next run. It was weird because thats?never happened before.
By the way the launch in my s4 is better then my evoX launch. Very impressed

Its because of the front radar in the bumper.
It knows where the car is and dragracing is not part of your insurance.

1. post logs
2. what car/engine
3. post logs

That is awful.

I don't see any throttle cut, but there is something very wrong with your car.

Have you even looked at your lde and WGDC? You are significantly underboosting.

Please run a WOT log from 2500 rpm to redline. One gear. Preferably 3rd. 2nd will do in a pinch if you don't have space.

WTF is lamsbg_w doing at 0.45 or wherever it is? and why are you logging lamsbg_w instead of lamsons_w, which is the real request? that's got to be some of the crappiest logs I've ever looked at.

It does look pretty shitty lol. But being that I was at the dragstip and launching from 5k with 2step enabled ..somewhat keeps me from being able to do a nice clean log starting at 2k up to 7k wot runs. Going back to why I posted this thread partially plays into the log looking the way it does. Problem #2 I think something is wrong with my 3bar map sensor. its been saying I'm only hitting a max load of around 160 but in reality my load is somewhere between 225-230. How do I know this? well my fats times are still hitting 3.1 3.2 seconds which are the same as before my map sensor blew the top piece  off and load was at 225. which in theory tells me they must be close to the same to prior this 160 actual load BS.
when I firrst looked at this log I also said wtf am I looking at here so I understand the disgust.  luckily though I found myself reading a old post that led me to the solution to fix this problem.  http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=151.0

Pressure sensor data is not used to calculate load.

You are conflating two different pressure variables:

pvdkds_w comes direct from the sensor

ps_w comes from MAF/RPM (load)

Your load being way of is quite literally the least of your problems.

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=17192.msg132483#msg132483

but if you have LC it means you are running somebody else's tune, doubtless a tune you can't modify.

So I'm not sure what you are looking for here.

Pressure sensor data is not used to calculate load.

Actually this statement isn't 100% correct, albeit I used to think the exact same. pspvdk(_w) does come into play in EGFE, BGMSZS. BGRLP and MSDK, and IF the pvd sensor isn't calibrated correctly, it can and will lead to weird adverse effects regarding load and fueling.

Interesting, I will take a look. Thanks!

Primary load is MAF only, HOWEVER.

There is primary load to secondary load correction.
fkmsdk and friends.
And if the max/min factor is not 1.0, then it will correct the primary airflow with secondary airflow.

I don't think this actually affects fueling, but it affects throttle control and a lot of other things.
