Hello,

I've been reading the overload of information on this site for a while now, and greatly appreciate the time that all the contributors have put into learning and the information they've been willing to share. I must admit, when I first came upon this site I thought that it would be pretty simple to understand how to tune my ecu, I was very, very wrong. I've spent a good amount of time reading the S4 wiki, and what seems like hundreds of threads related to tuning, and barely feel like I have a clue.

I'm now at the point where I feel that I am at least ready to look at my maps and learn what lies where. I'm picking up a spare ecu and building a bench harness setup to do the actual tuning with so that if I completely screw up and brick my ecu it doesn't strand me.

I have read my ecu and created a .bin file using the NefMoto Flash/Logging tool, but I cannot find an .xdf file anywhere. I have TunerPro, and the MTX plugin for checksum correction, I also have the WinOLS Demo, but would rather use TunerPro because of the checksum tool.
This is kind of a rare ecu, so I'm hoping that someone here has some experience with it, or would be willing to steer me in the right direction of what I could do myself.

Thanks much!

I'm also open to .a2l, .dam, or .kp. In fact, they'd be preferred.  Wink

There is one or two Passat definition files on here. Download those and compare to your own.

Nice! Would you mind sharing the addresses with me? Hopefully that would get me headed in the right direction.
