I'm looking for a little help I recently installed part number 0280158117 bosh 550cc injectors and went to start the car with nothing happening but cranking.  the car starts fine with RS4 injectors.  has anyone experienced this? the car is a Pj K04 2.7t B5 S4, other mods I have 2.0t coils, bosch 044 pump. I'm currently running E85 and I wanted to go to the bosch injectors for the spray pattern and part throttle performance.

Please help

The tune will need to be calibrated for the 550cc injectors but it should still start and run rich. Does it try to start or just crank and not fire at all? Are all of the connectors plugged in? Any fault codes stored?

You're not even in the rough ballpark with 550s and E85.

Do yourself a favor, dont touch E85 until you have the car running properly on pump gas. You're biting more off than you can chew at once.

You didn't mention

1) trims on rs4 injectors
2) adjustments you made to KRKTE
3) adjustments you made to TVUB
4) adjustments you made to cold start/wall wetting maps

don't make people dig around in your bin, that's just rude.

Just post what you changed and why.

The rs4 injectors run well on E85, 1-2% on all trims. since the car won't start with the ev14s in i haven't had a chance to tweak KRKTE or TVUB. Thanks for looking

I don't get the point of running E85 on a 2.7t with those injectors. You're going to max them out well before you'd make just as much power on pump gas but with really shitty range and mileage

In any case, don't bother posting your bins, nobody is going to dig around in them.

Just post the changes you've made (or didn't make)

Why haven't you touched KRKTE or TVUB? Why not start there? Not sure what you expect to happen w/o proper setup. You're literally 30% or more off, and EV14s have very different latency from rs4 injectors.

NYET, thanks for your reply, I've changed a lot to match your recommendations on other threads for using these injectors. i suspect its a car thing and not a tune thing like was previously stated the car should start and run Rich i was wondering if anyone has had this issue before.  yes I've changed all those maps you mentioned as well as many others so for me to list them all would be absurd.  this car is running a 3bar map sensor, K04s, custom ypipe 88mm MAF, 2.ot coils, RS4 injectors with BJ at the end of the part number, I live at 8000ft, bosch 044 pump, 4bar fuel pressure regulator, areomotive fuel pump speed controller, 034 fuel rales and -6an fuel lines. theres probably more that I'm forgetting. would you like more information?

actually the RS4 injectors are not maxed out. i have logs of the RS4 injectors running below 80% if you would like to see that as well.

You're nowhere near what the 2.7t can do then.

If TVUB is very wrong it might not start ( talking from experience ) . There are alot different dead times on internet regarding these injectors. I am working on idle right now and 3BAR  8V : 2.7 is definetly wrong, im getting into 2.1 - 2.2 area.

This value (8V) it is using at normal conditions ? I think is usually 12V-14V use or not ? Wink

During start voltage can drop significantly, which is why TVUB is so important.
