Hello together,

I had rebuild my B5 S4 engine (AZB, G Box) and now have massive problems with partitial load (Full throttle no problems).
It is very strange, looks for me that there are some ignition misfires but with VCDS I can't see them.
Feels like some kind of stucking and in this time the boost jumps around, also sometimes Lambda starts getting a bit fater ~0.80 (misfires ?)
Also it makes curious sounds, sounds like some kind of "breathing" I can show that in a Video:

https://youtu.be/v1Y7wWLPPcA

The Video is a littlebit older, in the Video I only drive with Wastegate spring pressure.

Parts that I have installed:

- RS4 MAF
- Bosch EV14 0 280 158 117
- Custom K03 500HP Turbos
- Custom Manifold from S-Concept
- RS4 Downpipes and Cats
- Fox Exhaust without pre-silencer (70mm centralpipe)
- ACK Cylinderhead with camshafts
- Bigger Head Gasket 2,2mm for 8,57:1 compression
- Maxpeedingrods connection rods
- Wagner Intercooler
- RS4 Spark Plugs

Not installed yet:
- Pierburg E3L Fuel Pump
- additional Oil Cooler

I am not sure if it is a software or hardware problem, so I started to log with me7 logger but mybe I am to stupid or I don't know. I try to analyze the log with ECUxPlot but since the probleme only occurs at partitial load I don't see it.
I see in ECUxPlot only when I start a full throttle ride.
So the main question is, how can I analyze the part in log where I drive with partital load ?

I adjusted everything for RS4 MAF (MLOFS, KFMLDMX, MLMAX, MLHFM) also everything for the Injectors (TVUB and KRKTE).
I did Lambda over TABGBTS and KFLBTS and that looks for the start okay (I have a wideband lambda gauge), KFZW and KFZW2 is not really adjusted for the nee hardware, just give a bunch extra in the last load lines and have now knocking at the moment, but boost and ignition ist not adjusted because engine is not running fine in partitial load.
nonetheless I put my file in attachments, maybe I forgot something ?

Also the problem occurs when I put off the N75 plug and also when I put off the MAF plug.

I can't upload xdf, I don't know why.
So here it is:

I took a new fresh log

Maybe something with throttleplate ?
very huge jumps between 10 and 80%

Did you change wastegate springs?

I have Error 16480 Intakeairtemperature sporadic implausible signal.
But in my log, air intake temperature looks fine for me.

At the beginning I had problemes with Wastegates, that they didn't open synchronous and then I brought the turbos to my turbo builder and he installed new wastegate cans and "configured" them that they open synchronous.
So yes I checked the Wastegatesprings, they open up synchronous.

wg way too tight for your KFVPDKS

in general your PID is boned.

Forget partial thottle for the moment, get wot running right because even that looks completely fucked.

I guess you bring me to the right track.
My Wastegates open on 0,5 bar and not like original turbos on ~0,3.
I think I have to read a bit in S4 Wiki on the "Base boost and wastegate spring pressure" chapter.
There is written:
Quote
you may experience bucking and choppy throttle response in part throttle near waste gate cracking pressure
And that would maybe clearify why this problem also occurs when N75 is unplugged, because nonetheless it has 0,5bar and not the actual ~0,3 bar.

I try to play around with it and come back to you guys, thanks a lot!

And yes I know that wot is also not really running good at the moment but first I want a generally smooth engine because drive it like it is now is no fun at all.

Edit:
I try this tommorow (look in attachments)

If it behave same way with n75 off that is not the issue, and that small difference would not give you problems.
Regardless, stock base pressure is ~0.5bar

Multiply dimx axis by 1.2 as a starting point

He just should start over.

irl/iop is a mess, most likely is what is causing his issues

OH god. I didn't even see that. I have no idea what he thinks he's doing in there.

Good catch.

Yes maybe I should set these maps back to default and start over with them, also DIMX and some others.
Played a lot around with it because my stage 1 tune back then didn't came up with the desired boost.
When I rebuilt the engine I noticed that the old Turbos wastegate cans were totally leaking and that was probably the problem

Edit:
After setting back KFMIRL, KFMIOP, DIMX to stock, decreased KFLDRL by 20% exept the last line and edited KFVPDKSD / KFVPDKSE, the Engine runs fine. Thanks a lot to you all !
Now I have problems on Full Throttle, its going up / down all the time.
I think now I have to optimize IRL and IOP, maybe I have to read a bit more.

Hmm I am not sure what this causes.
Has someone a hint ?

Edit:
Looks like it was a Problem with KFLDRL, but it back to stock and now it looks very good.
Thanks for the first time guys !

LOL no, and not DRL either. Well other than whatever you changed in DRL which you certainly got wrong as well.

IMX

I'm not understanding your tuning approach here. Why are you changing maps around that you have no idea what they're for?

Especially when you say things like "optimize".
