upload both files. if they are both 1mb or both 512kb they will cross flash. imo your best option is to cross flash it to the usdm b5 s4 auto / tip    8D0907551L file. it shares the same def as the manual 8D0907551M b5 s4 file. also here in the usa the b5 chassis never got immo so when you flash it to an immo on ecu it disables immo in flash. 99.9% of the s4 wiki applies directly to the 8D0907551M file and thats 1:1 calibration addresses of the auto 8D0907551L if you choose to use it. if you need help feel free to pm me

I was able to flash 8D0907551L but the behavior seems to be the same.
I've sent you a PM Marty. Thanks for the support.

I have an entire car (2002 Tip Allroad) . And it was working (I drove the car for a few meters more than once with no issues)
I can't start the car now to double check because I've already removed substancial parts from it.

Maybe I cooked the ECU removing the immo?

Another stupid question. Even though the software controller states "Controller: 4Z7 907 551 D" looking at the actual ecu on top of the part number "4Z7 907 551 D" there's an AUDI stamp stating "4Z7 997 551 DX". Could this be an issue? Or is irrelevant?

VAG shows a rebuilt item by adding an X to the end of the part number.

The plot thickens.

So... flashed image from the original ECU to the spare one and it works. So ECU is OK.
Please check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft_0RWygPR0&feature=youtu.be

Also (previous) failed attempt running the L-Box https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP7E3U3JYto

The only difference that I can find is the "Extra" info in the controller info for the original 4B0907551S image.

Is there a way to write this Extra info in the L file? Do you reckon this could be the solution?
If not is there any way to find 4B0907551S definition file?
Any other idea?

Ok guys , think I've made it Smiley
Found that 8D0907551G shares the same definition ( http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=9672.0title= ) as 4B0907551S .
As such used that definition with the original 4B0907551S Image (In the DX ECU) and apparently was able to raise the Idle to 1500 rpm for testing purposes and code out the SAI .
I've also defined max speed to 120km/h and tommorow will go for a ride to see if all defs are really reliable .

Thanks to everyone that tried to help.

Small update to finish the topic.
Was able to see imediately the idle rpm raise . Also did a couple of km's without any SAI codes appearing .
However I was able to drive way above 120km/h , I did it at 150/160 without feeling any loss of power .
Could it be that VAVMX is not a hard limit , and just another parameter with only a specific weight ? I'm trying to find it in the FR but can't seem to figure it out .

Use VMAXNB for speed limit.
VAVMX is unused "dummy" parameter if car is without active suspension level control.
