Hello guys,

Im basicly new to reading/writing flashing ecu.. I have a golf mk5 gti that i just bought and the ecu is tuned not by apr or revo.. acc to the last owner it was tuned by a friend of his.. Now i want to read the ecu,with nefmoto i have a hex can ross tech cable.. But my question is can you brick the ecu when you a reading a flash? And wich memory layout would i have to use to read the ecu.. thanks in advance

You can't use Nef.  It's only got ME7.  Use MPPS.

Thanks, do you have a download site for mpps? And can you also use a rosstech cable?

You need an MPPS cable and it comes with software.  It's also everywhere on the internet. Smiley
