So a while ago a purchased a Hyundai GDS (Global Diagnostic System) unit off of Ebay.
I've done a fair amount of research so far, and even managed to get official schematics of the unit.
Before going further and sinking more time into this, I wanted to do a sanity check.

Is reverse engineering this worth it?

Would something like this be a big breakthrough, or would I essentially be putting a hell of a lot of work into something that doesn't get me or anyone else anywhere?
