Hi everyone,
I am back with yet another Noob question. (Sorry  Cheesy)

Is there anyway to make our soft launch control sound like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMOPWKDnxDg

I have set my DNMAXH to 20 (and KFNWEGM to ~3500rpm) and it seems to sound like that for a split second, and then back to the boring old soft launch sound.

I am wondering does anyone have experience with setting DNMAXH to 0 with Soft Launch control, and does it sound like the RS3 above?
Or perhaps I could set KFNWEGM and DNMAXH such that it makes a sound like that.

Or if theres some other maps that I could look at? Any direction or help would be great  Grin

Hi sorry, I just saw this today.

Here is the stock rom from my car.

I am curious as to what map makes the RS3 sound like that?

someone correct me if i am wrong but i believe it more or less has to do with the fact that it is direct injection. so the two step method is a bit different

I have seen our ME7 Hard Launch control, and my god thats violent as hell.

The soft launch feature shown in the video comes with the RS3 from factory it seems.

I guess the first step for me would be to check how different exactly it is from our own ME7 soft launch control.
Guess I was trying to look for a hackjob way of making the car 'sound like that', whereas I should have asked as to what exactly happens during that RS3's launch control: is it a mild ignition retard? or could it be injector overrun? (but not sure if DI injectors would spray that way).

What is the mechanism of that RS3's launch control? Is it just a dumbed down, emissions legal version of our own ME7 Anti Lag Launch?

Just thought it would be interesting to get to know it.

It does not exist in ME7.
You need to write your own function for that.

But summed up it is:
* Late ignition (high torque reserve + low zwmin)
* 2-3 cylinder rotating pattern cut (redeta...)
* Shut throttle a little to control the rest (nmax with lower rpm limit)

You can do it just fine on non-DI.

Thanks! Will try when I get a little more comfortable with ASM, but definitely interested in trying to get it to work.

Hmmm I must get into this whole IDA, ASM, making functions thingy thing properly.
Hopefully if I manage to do it, after exams, will post an update here.

If you do not have any extant computer programming experience (minimally in a language like c. Not python. Not java. Not c++), you will not get anywhere.
