Hey all,

Looking for some advice. I have an '01 TT, engine code AMU, with a narrowband ECU. Planning to wideband swap. Picked up a wideband compatible ECU (1ML 906 032) - my understanding it's from an engine code AMK over in Europe, which would *not* have SAI. In my ideal world, I would only be swapping ECU + lambda, verify functionality, and then worry about next steps.

Would it be safe to cross-flash a BEA bin onto the ECU to begin? I know I'll be missing VVT (planned on just resistoring out). Only issue I'm noticing with BEA is the lack of XDF files available. Open to other suggestions as well.

Most recent K04 Engines with Wideband in Europe are BAM or AMK.

The ecu you posted will work but you have to kill vvt and egt via eskonf and you should change the bts strategy when killing the egt.

You can use a AUQ or AUM file aswell (032HN/HJ) but there is alot K03 in the file...

I think there is not much around for BEA and AMU... stick to the european engine codes and you will find more xdf

looks like there is only one version of 1ML906032 around which is 0001.
I would crossflash 8n0906018j 0004 from audi amk to have newest revision and well defined damos.

try to find one of this stock files on here and check eskonf to understand what else have to be disabled for your engine.

Why would you ever disable VVT if your original came with the wiring in place, you'll be missing out. All it requires is swapping a VVT tensioner in if you dont have it mechanically. 100% worth in my opinion.
And if even if it does not have VVT wiring add it.
