Risk when trying to "full read" Me7.5 file
« on: September 14, 2020, 07:06:50 AM »
I want to create a Me7logger template and need the 'bin' file.
Also would like to have tuner look at the file (dyno tuner was firm that more than 20 psi is not 'safe' (built 1.8T engine)) and tweak a bit to make better use of large hybrid turbo and built block.
Is there a risk of bricking the ECU when attempting to 'full read' with Nefmoto?

The link seems to deal with issues flashing certain (7.1.1) ecus.
Not sure how that pertains to reading a file (7.5) that may or may not be 'copy protected'.

Yeah, tell me about it. Too late know, tuner is an EXPERT; an expensive one to boot.

THanks for the offer. Car (and ECUs) are in GErmany. Are you also in Germany (to make mailing an option)?

As mentioned: VCDS lite, Me7 logger, Nefmoto.
They don't have boot mode capability and/or galletto.
