hi there ,

i've managed to code ESKONF 0 and 1 bits related to SLP and SLV , then checksum the file and then flash

on first cold start SAI pump still turns ON , why ?

still need correct xdf for my file as none of many i found here match (found ESKONF bytes by addresses in hex mode)

any help will be much appreciated

original and modified files are attached

ESKONF is for circuit diagnosis. There are other things that need to be changed to eliminate the function. This is outlined in the S4wiki. https://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning

hi there

@ justinvw2646 :

is this the key that ive missed ? :

If you wish to remove the relay completely as well, you must also disable circuit diagnosis in ESKONF by setting the appropriate bitpairs SLV (N112) and SLP (J299) to 11 and possibly also set CWKONABG to 0.[85]

means ESKONF + CWKONABG will do the hole job ?

@Jorgeminator

soooo much appreciated for this perfectly matched XDF to my bin finally i could go into it

If you still have your cat in place you should change CWKONABG from 5 to 1. Setting it to 0 tells the ECU you have no cat at all.

The bits making up the CWKONABG byte are 'x x x x x 2 1 0':

2: B_slsfz, SAI-pump
1: B_kath, electric cat heater
0: B_katfz, catalytic converter

So your original bit sequence 'x x x x x 1 0 1'  (CWKONABG = 5) should be changed to 'x x x x x 0 0 1' (CWKONABG = 1). Hope that helps explain it Smiley

Also set CDSLS (SAI diagnosis) and CWSLS to 0.

update :

explanation is very accurate , now it is clear

 CDSLS set to 0
CWKONABG set to 0    (still got the cats on the car but dont need ecu  to know it , soon will delete them as well)

ESKONF 0/1 coded    (not sure for eskonf 1 slv slp code needed )

flashed the ecu , started the engine runs smooth during warm up , no dtc for sai  , but there is something wrong when ask for revs = stable gas pedal position and throttle goes up and down ?

Did the problem appear after making the changes? Is it the same with CWKONABG set to 1?

There is only one ESKONF in your file, so whatever you changed in "ESKONF_1" (false positive by the ESKONF tool) could be causing the problem. ESKONF_0 at 0x10C4F is the correct one.

update:

ESKONF 1 reset to basic values - cold star in the morning rough idle with hard throttle response , after 1min stable idle and normal throttle response

what if i go other SAI delete way : MSLUB/MSLBAS  ,  CDSLS/CWKONABG back to 01/05?

Sounds like the engine is running 'rough' during cat heating due to VVT being active. If you want you can try disabling cat heating by setting MLSUS to 0 across the whole temperature range and update the results.

that makes sense but what cat heating when

CWKONABG changed from 5.00  (0x05) to 0.00  (0x00).
(CDKAT) Codeword: Cat diagnosis in OBDII-Mode (inverse: EURO-Mode) - Codewort Katalysator-Diagnose im OBDII-Mode (invers: Europa-Mode) changed from 1.00  (0x01) to 0.00  (0x00).
 CDSLS changed from 1.00  (0x01) to 0.00  (0x00).
(CWSLS) Code word for secondary air system - Codewort für Sekundärluftsystem changed from 1.00  (0x01) to 0.00  (0x00).

MLSUS is still enabled function even when CWKONABG set to 0 ?

both MLSUS tables has to be 0-ed  , see attached please ?

Yes, set both MLSUS_0_A and MLSUS_1_A to 0. It won't hurt to try Smiley

update :

MLSUS_0_A and MLSUS_1_A to 0 done .    still no changes during first cold (-6 here ) start , engine struggling to idle

are those MLSUS_0_A and MLSUS_1_A  setting the VVT-off ,which in our AUM/ARX engines is used only during SAI ?
