Hi everyone,

my TCU is fine as I have not flashed it, but the temptation to remove the launch control delay is there....

I'd like have the ability to copy both EEPROM and Flash from my DSG  model 02E 300 011 CK 081 1407 AND the ability to copy those back to the tcu should the tcu become bricked by my clone kess!

With the engine ecu I managed to do this by using boot mode but what about the tcu? Does the EEPROM need to be desoldered and read  with a reader or is there another way?

From 3 days of searching the net , the very limited info and my mushy brain seem to indicate that:

1 Boot mode for Cxx (I assume mine is?) needs the mechatronics to be removed. After that there is no mention of what tool to use to actually read it in boot.
2 All BOOT mode tools i could find never mention they are compatible with the dq250C.
For example PCM flash module 58 does dq250 e/f/mqb in BOOT mode, no mention of Cxx (just by OBD).
I/O terminal with special module does the mpc555 with 95160 Kline (I dont know if my dsg has that powerPC chip, but anyway, is this boot mode or just the direct connection like all the others can do?).
So, it got a bit too confusing for this noob!
Do any experts know (1) if my model can be recovered from bricking by flashing both original flash and EEPROM in boot mode, (2) how to get bootmode and (3) what tools either cheap or expensive do the job?

No bootmode here.
IOT can be used to read the DQ250Cxx FLASH / EEPROM.

Thanks guys, I'm learning very slowly.
So If I brick my cxx with a bad flash and the dsg no longer works,  can something like the popular pcm flash still connect to the dsg and put back the original eeprom and flash data without opening it up ? Im curious because ME7 type ecus need to be opened up and put into bootmode, I don't think I'd want to risk doing that with the mechatronic unit.

PCMFlash can't recover this TCU if you brick. Only tooL working for recovery to my knowledge is IO.
