My point is, you can't flash the OTP (by definition).

You can copy EEPROM, but there is nothing in 001 or 002 that care about eeprom contents.

So that leaves your assertion that you can't flash one or the other on ECUs, without a full read.

which also makes no sense. What could a "full read" possibly help with if you can't overwrite the OTP?

AFAIK all ME7.1 ecus are literally identical hw wise.

What do you mean about " OTP " ?

On M7.1???  I crossflashed many times, never had any issue.

512 kb can't be croshflashed without boot mode
1.8T late B6 and B7 ECU need to move EEPROM also from other ECU
But on 2.7 biT M7.1 croshflashing is going without any peoblems

Ok , so i really don't see how car doesn't start now .

I only make my tune as usual , and try to add LC with Cadensdad14 Xdf method .

Everything looks fine , because my tool accepts Checksum before flashing it

Start by ditching that bullshit. Unless you *personally* wrote the ASM for it (every single byte code), you have no business adding LC.

In any case, this is trivial to test. Flash 001 and flash 002 using the nef flasher or galletto in boot mode. They (or any other hitachi 2.7t 1M manual file) should work, period.

If that doesn't work, something else is amiss.

He didnt mean it literally, it  means you should not use asm code unless you know what it all does or you wrote it etc. Also I am fairly sure this forum was started with S4/me7.1 Smiley

My ori and my old mod file is ok to write , even is SW different .

since i putted my file mod with LCNLS xdf modified , car doesnt start .

I think my ktag make maybe bad writing , even if checksum is ok

First file , car doesnt start , the other one are ok ...

One more time, ditch NLS.

You don't need it. It's a waste of time. Don't use ASM modifications you didn't write yourself.

I really don't get the reasoning here.

IMO if your car doesn't start after a reflash, i'd worry less about the flash tool and more about the ASM modifications you made *by copy/pasting somebody else's ASM*

Modifications that
1) you have no idea what they do
2) you don't have the ability to figure out what they do
let alone
3) you couldn't write entirely on your own if you wanted to.

LC/NLS is fucking cancer for noobs.

If my topic Disturb you , please delete it .

I'm a noob , yes i know , thats the reason that i post here .

NLS is NOT an XDF modification.
