For learning, I used Winols available on the network, but in this situation it will not help me, the Demo version remains and only use to view map addresses while working on a free program.
I liked TunerPro but due to the lack of a small XDF base, I wanted to try Winols.
So the question is:
Can I convert MapPack to XDF format? Is there only manual search in such a situation?
ecuxplot comes with a kp parser but it only works with a very old version of kps since EVC made the format increasingly impossible to reverse engineer. Presumably intentionally. They don't play nice with others, it's part of EVC's business model. They don't have much interest in making unencumbered, well published, well documented, portable formats like XDF, which is a shame, since .kp is capable of a lot more than XDFs are.
Though XDFs are xml, which makes them trivially extensible, something EVC doesn't seem to care about when architecting (and I use that term loosely) their own formats. I don't think any of their developers have ever had to think about well documented portability/interoperability. It just isn't in their DNA.
