Hi,
I'm planning to convert my 2000 TT to wideband. It has a fully adapted IMMO2 cluster/ecu/keys now. It seems to me that all wideband ECUs are IMMO3. I saw the 2 following conventional routes:
1, turn immo off in new ECU
2, buy an immo3 cluster and adapt it

However I neither want the extra cost of a cluster change, nor the flashing light. This leads me to possibility nr3:

3, copy the immo2 95040 to the immo3 ECU..
Will this work? How the flash references the immo code? Does it matter if it's 2 or 3?
The immo2 95040 will contain for login 0xFFFF and has no valid VIN, I think it might be fine for the cluster, however if the flash references those....

Regards
Dante

What you mean "nor the flashing light"?
If you turn immo off on ECU everything on your car will work, and no errors ond cluster.
Bigger problem if your car have ASR/ESP,  I think with wideband ECU might be problem

IMMO not active LED flashing in cluster
Car has OEM ESP, with CAN wiring into cluster already. I don't think there's a newer revision than that.

Its not like that.
The IMMO lamp on the cluster will blink when the key is not coded to the cluster, dont matter if the ECU is immo on or off.
