So, i have a S4 B5 ECU. (551D)
It had a Programming Board on it (See Pictures)
I desoldered the Board and put the Stock 800dd back on the ECU.
I flashed the "Original Sportec" Software back on it with Bootmode and MPPS.
Yesterday i put that ecu in the car but it wont start.
I didnt had my Laptop by my side, so i wasnt able to check VCDS or MPPS again.

I dont understand why the car is not running.
Maybe the Tune from Sportec needs this Chip?
I will post the Tune Later, dont have the tune @work.
Thanks again, these ECU`s with Chips are my Nightmare.

Stop messing around with 3rd party tunes and risers and crap, you'll never get them working right. Also, do not post 3rd party tunes.

Flash stock, do your own stg1

when flashing with mpps on s4s threw port ive had trouble in the past having to bootomde the ecu. use nefmoto flasher or any other tool besides mpps and you shouldnt have an issue

these ECU`s with Chips are my Nightmare.

How do you read the dump of the "original sportec"?
If in standard boot mode you try to read a flash soldered on the crypt-panel (from COBI Electronics), you will get a corrupted dump.
If you read the unsoldered chip in an external programmer, you will also receive an encrypted dump.
Both files will never work.
I think you already lost the sportec tuning dump.

PS: And I think that this loss is not worth much to regret.
Believe me, I dealt with files from sprotec in 2003 ... 2006 - nothing special and sometimes there were obvious errors in the calibrations ... ;-)

Some of the very simple encrypted flashes can be read through their risers in bootmode if they are rudimentary enough.

Not generally worth the trouble. Most stage 1 flashes are garbage compared to what you can DIY with current information and full FR available.

Not generally worth the trouble. Most stage 1 flashes are garbage compared to what you can DIY with current information and full FR available.

Here we see panels of the COBI crypt.
These panels have read protection with linear forward increment of address.
To bypass this option, the boot program must read addresses in random order.

First, thanks guys for the awnsers-
I know that the tunes are crap. i drove the car by my self and ist shitty.
But i just wanted atleast that the car runs after desoldering. And at this Moment i didnt had a Original File.

I tried to read the Flash a long time ago and i got a File that had something on 1024kb.
I desoldered the Riser and tried to read the Flash again. It worked and i got a file with 512kb.

I checked both files and the bigger one just had a longer hexcode filled with Nothing.
So i thought it would work. But ok.
I will try the original Tune.

And to the MPPS Problem: I´ve never had any issues with it.

All these super duper tunes can be read out over OBD.
And over OBD you do not have the problem with the increment-address because while you are reading the OBD the program is running from the same flash.

If RequestUpload is off then DDLI or RMBA will still always work... sigh.

Not that there is ANYTHING worth reading in there.

Like i said, i had my Laptop not by my side as i testet it.
and for all of you, i flashed via bootmode the original File on it and it worked.
Also for those who want to know, via MPPS the 551D you can easy read them on the Table.
