MED 7.1 as a sub-ECU
« on: February 24, 2021, 04:08:02 AM »
Just curious is it possible to use one VAG ECU as sub one for another? For example, I have VR6 BWS (med 9.1) motor with direct injection fuel system and no turbo. What if to install turbo, additional MPI injectors and 2.7t biturbo ECU for control it? Of course some sensors will be connected to both ECU) Which sensors are minimum enough for sub ecu how do you think to work properly?

Med will still read load over 100%, that is not going to work

AWE tried that 20 years ago with the 2.7t. It was dumb then and its dumb now.

The last VR6 worth adding a turbo to (non FSI, using a standalone) is now 25 years old.
