the red obdlink sx is the only one that pops up on nefmoto now. when i plugged it back in the second time it gave me the option to install drivers. but it wont communicate with the ecu. when i click connect it pops up with 'Failed to read test echo from FTDI device' in the status window.

When using the vcds cable you also need to launch vagcom and put it in dumb mode

I fixed it. Used vag commander 1.19 and changed com port in device manager and vag commander to com 2 and it worked.
