hi there, just after some info regarding damos and mappacks etc.... what actually is the difference between damos, ols, mappacks? am i right in thinking that the mappacks are previously tuned files eg St1 St2 St3 etc? then 'tuners' simply copy over the differences from the mappack to the corrosponding vehicles ecu and viola remapped?

Ive been tuning ecus myself with EDC15suite and have got use to the way that works. if someone could explain my best way to get into winols with corrosponding map data.

im under the impression that Damos is needed for the map location and description of certain bits of data in the ecu file, is this correct?

EDC15suite has it all set out for us and makes it easy to change and tune the .bin file as the locations are already named and graphed etc....

any info and advice would be amazing.... TIA

I dont have my golf pd130 now so cant use edc15suite to edit my edc17cp04 file from my audi a5 3.0tdi lol

i dont want to risk paying £50 for an english damos for my ecu incase it doesnt work with the Cr@cked winols version i have, i cant afford to waste money, i would love to be able to get a full version of winols and have asll the functionability that comes with but its just not worth the 1000E that it costs just to be able to play with my own personal vehicles ecu :/

The damos that are going around for the A5 3.0TDIv6 arent any good either the maps are all in german and there is hundreds of them which doesnt look right to me
