Hello,

I need to swap the ECU from an Polo 6n2 with AUC engine. I get a used one and try to read the EEPROM 95040 with "M7EEPROM.exe" and my TL866II+ with a clamp.

If I compare the dump with the image from this post, I think I'm wrong: https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php/857439-Help-with-IMMO-OFF-VW-Lupo-1999-Bosch-030906032E-ME7-5-10-EEPROM-95040?s=16b5f063078cc3cb047d09795bc8d6c0&p=3982687#post3982687 On 0x032 if have only FF for example. I have the same reading with the orginal ECU. I tested http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6134.0 too, nu success, on written EEPROM the ECU says the same again with the IMMO. :-(

Could I only read the correct values with "boot mode"? Or works the reading/writing from the 95040 only desoldered? Where's my mistake? It would be great if the IMMO get off.

I attach a dump.

Thank you Dave,

yesterday I get it alone. ;-) I read out the dump with Boot Mode, adjusted the dump with the tool from this site and written it back. Works! The car runs again with the new ECU. The old one was defective.

But, I didn't understand why I couldn't get it with my TL866II+ and my clamp. :-(

95040 must be desoldered from PCB - you read it with a clamp

you have FFFF in place of pin and XXXX... in place of VIN etc because it's a IMMO2 ECU

you really do not have the knowledge
this ecu is immo 3
and it doesn't matter if it's Audi VW Seat or Skoda
this is immo 3 and that's it
and the fact that some ECUs can be connected to immo 2 is a different matter

So tell me why there are no immo info in this dump? Is it a virgin one or its unversal and can be connected to immo2 ( then its says like this ) or immo3c( then the pin immo id writes)
