Has anybody gotten the galletto software to work in win7 64bit

Solved: my 1250 software doesn't work with 32-bit (no 32-bit driver), but I have patched my 1260 (which does support 64-bit win7) to work with my non-1260 cable.

problem was the serial # in 1260 didn't match the 1250 cable i was using.

You can edit the binary to use whatever FTD cable you have. I edited my galletto executable to use the cable i use with Nefmoto (rather than my old galletto cable).

I could probably do the same to get the 1250 software working, but I don't feel like it Smiley

I did. Last night. For a few hours. Successfully flashed a few files to a few different ecu's in bootmode however I could not get nefmoto to connect after the galletto flash to make the checksums right, and then when I went to work on it more today all of a sudden when I try to connect in galletto with boot mode galletto says "Boot Mode Inactive" I think its lying to me...

Any ideas?

What cable/drivers did you use? I can't find galetto 64-bit drivers that work

I downloaded galletto from this thread
http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,639.msg5371.html#msg5371
My cable is a galletto cable i ordered off amazon, it came with a cd, which was blank, the cable says eobd 1260 on one side and i believe obdII on the other, not 100% positive its out in the garage I could go look... as far as ftdi drivers i used the ones downloaded from here
http://www.ftdichip.com/FTDrivers.htm
Im going to try again with galletto on my girlfriends computer (using win xp) when she brings it over in about an hour, hopefully I have more luck

Also... in referance to this page:
http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/wiki/index.php/Galletto_1260_Flashing_Cable
At the very bottom it says to try and uninstall all other cable drivers as this may cause conflict... tried that and no luck.

no better luck on the xp machine so i am convinced that my "boot mode inactive" prompt is a bunch of bs. and I know the ecu goes into boot mode because I can read the 95040 chip with argdubs command prompt tool.

Im using windows 7, and i just received my Galetto cable in the mail. The CD came with tons of different stuff for like BMW/MERC/Volvo etc.. However, i would like to use this cable with VCDS, is this even possible? perhaps i should have bought the regular cable(blue and clear cable on ebay). i cannot get anything to connect with this cable except for EOBD1260, which was able to read my ECU but not tell me anything.

Do you guys have some insight to what time doing wrong? or is this just not the right cable for i guess what i am trying to use it for.

TIA

Today i use it on my main rig running win 7 64bit for first time..
EOBD checked to run in xp sp3 compatible mode with given admin rights.
I flash via galletto cable in boot mode without problem.
