I'm a FNG to all this [ * new guy]
Managed to ballz up the channel 60 recode of my instrument cluster.

Have an A6 C5 4B 2.7t AJK with tip my2001 avant
WAUZZZ 4BZ1N 015739

Got another matching ecu and flashed L-box map to it, to find misfire.  [injectors 2 & 4 died at same time!]

while reading about how to fix 'incompatible transmission' dtc in rosstech forums, came across softcoding to fix issue: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/24150/

Managed to mix up soft coding and cluster recode from s4wiki: https://s4wiki.com/wiki/Cluster_recode

So changed channel 60 to 1027. firstly taking screenshot to capture original code.

Dumbass here didn't save screenshot!

Looking for channel 60 code for original ecu 4B0907551G and cluster.
came across this: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_A4_(8E)_Instrument_Cluster_(8EC/8ED/8HE)#Channel_060:_CAN-Databus_Powertrain_.28Installation_List.29

Channel 060: CAN-Databus Powertrain (Installation List)

    +00001 = Engine (Standard)
    +00002 = Automatic Transmission (Optional)
    +00004 = Brake (Standard)
    +00016 = Airbag (Standard)
    +01024 = Instrument Cluster (Standard)

So guessing a 2.7t 230bhp 169kw tip with esp would be all of them!
So, 01047.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.
I hope others shall learn from my mistakes, and me too!

    +00002 = Automatic Transmission (Optional)

    +00004 = Brake (Standard)
    +00016 = Airbag (Standard)

Brake and airbag are never added in channel 60 in a6 c5 ( cluster is connected to abs and airbag by cables not can ) - installation list you found is from a4 b6 ( 8e )

When I went am checked it was 1027, not 1025, as I thought  Huh

I assume it is totally unrelated that i'm getting:

18084 - EPC Warning Lamp (K132) Circuit
            P1676 - 35-00 - Electrical Malfunction

Just luck I guess Roll Eyes
