Hi guys

at first i want to thank this community and nyet for creating such a nice community and sharing their experiences

I ve got a 2000 A6 2.7 C5 and flashed the S4 551L Software with Bosch MAF calibrations

I had the "bad cluster" DTC and changed to 1027 in Channel 60 CLuster Coding with VCDS

The Car doesnt shift, the car doesnt show in the Instrument Cluster which gear is running. It feels like its running in 4th gear all the time

Did i forget anything??

Does anybody knows how to link ecu to tcu or vice Versa?

In ecu bin or with vcds ?

I am doing the same: I have a A6 C5 4B Avant 2.7t tip 230bhp(AJK & FAW), and have a second ecu with 8D0-551L.

I am no expert, however:

Believe ESKONF neds to be altered.

Hope this helps.

Yes, you forgot to do the most important thing.
You forgot to study the details in this topic on replacement before to do something and now you have what you have.
The 551L firmware has an CAN implementation incompatible with your original version.
Тhe IDs of the motor and transmissions that are broadcast on the CAN network are different.
ECU and TCM cannot agree among themselves, as they speak different "languages".
VCDS will not help resolve the issue.

When I did the same, channel 60, it took transmission out of limp mode. Still showed other dtcs related to the ESKONF corrections, but the 'incompatible tcu' error went.
Maybe my scenario is different to yours.

Put the software version back and tune that software.
The problem is not something you are going to solve by calibration.
