Hi,
 
I have disassembled my original RS4 8D0907551K flash with IDA at hex 8000000, but I only have the posted 32Kb CPU ROM from the 551M ECU.
It is naturaly logical that some jumps between flash and CPU ROM, do not match.

Has anybody already read out the original RS4 8D0 907 551K CPU ROM, or know how I can read it out from my ECU?

After a compare I wonder that your posted 551K file is identical to the 551M File.  Huh

How can it be?

Is the 551M Hard- and Software so close to the 551K, that the CPU ROM is identical?

There is only limited number of different CPU ROM's used, so K and M box are identical and the applications
use the same entry points. This CPU ROM version is used also on many ME7.5 ecus.

is the cpu content also in the flashrom content ?? i have read an 32k file and it fits in my flashrom or did i read it wrong?

If you read your flash with minimon from 0000 to FFFFF (1024kB) then you most likely got some CPU rom (0000-FFFF), maybe some other stuff, then FLASH the rest. Your FLASH file would then be wrong.

To get FLASH-only you need to read from 8000000 or 100000 or something like that.
