How does the ME7 realize the RAM-Mirror of the onboard serial EEPROM?
« on: May 23, 2012, 01:41:17 PM »
Hi,
I have a question to all ME7 Specialist.
Who knows, how the ME7 Software communicates with the onboard 95040 serial EEPROM, and witch subroutines are invited?
In the IDA disasembled 8D0907551K source between 800000 and 8FFFFF, I can't find any Stuff that do this.
Or is it a part of the CPU ROM code from 0000 to 7FFF?
In the "ME7 Funtionsrahmen" I read, that some, but not all EEPROM Pages are mirrored in RAM.
But in which RAM addresses are the mirror pages stored?
I have read my EEPROM with ArgDub's "ME7_95040 EEPROM programer tool", and have searched for binary parts of this dump in RAM of the ECU.
To search for this, I upgrade the .ECU and the .LOG files in Setzi's "ME7logger" with addresses of iRAM/SFR/extRAM between 8000 and FFFF, and 380000 to 387FFF, but without any succes.
Can anyone bring light into the darkness?
Thanks
Tom

The ECU compares VIN and Imo-number stored in the ECU's EEPROM, with data in the instrument cluster.
Also this data must buffered in RAM, but where und how?
The same applies to the adaptation values and error codes.
No ideas?

The EEPROM is connected to the CPU via an SPI bus, it is the SSC in the C167.
Look for SSCCON in the code.
