Looking for some confirmation on what I'm looking at.

I dont know how to format this correctly to keep relevant images with desired text.

2003 VW Golf 1.8t
ECU PN: 06A906032LP

Read my ECU using Nefmoto.

Checked with Me7checksum - no errors.

Using TunerPro and a user supplied Map for ECU with matching PN.

Attached Images are as follows:

ECU_read is Bin pulled from my ECU (unedited by me)

Stock_Bin is from a user uploaded Bin to check if map addresses were good.

Are the graphs an error with the bin I pulled from my ECU?

I used the 29F800BB 1024 setting to read the bin/ECU.

Attempted to use the 400 but received an error message.

Am I dealing with a bunk ECU tune and should start over with a new map?

Is there a configuration setting I missed?

I did some searching already on the forums, ended up going in circles not knowing what terms to search.

Looking for some direction on how to proceed.

Attached files:

5 images for viewing.
My ECU read
Stock bin from forum
Base Map/Damos from User

Thanks for taking a look

Probably a version difference. It looks like KFMIRL is just a tad off. Sometimes maps can differ though versions of the same software number (for example 032LP 0002 or 032LP 0007).

Could compare them in raw hex to find the proper addresses, or fiddle around with the adres until it looks good.

Anyways should just use the stock file and DIY.

I did have the hex files open to compare but they were similar enough I didnt know what I was looking for.

Thanks for checking it out.

I will try to find a different map and see if that brings everything in line.

How would I go about fiddling with addresses? I will do some searching to find this, a bump or link in the right direction if you can would be great.

Now that i'm behind my computer i've had the chance to look at the file;

Your file is version 0005, the stock file you supplied with it (and also works with the xdf) is 0007. This happens quite often with version differences. I suggest using the stock 0007 file and go from there. If you want to find the old addresses just compare them in raw hex as the maps you are looking for will be similar or probably the same. There is no real science here, just play with the addresses and find out what's right.

I use HXD for hex editing, and just search for the "06A" or "032LP" next to it you will find the SW version (0005 and 0007 in your case).

Thanks for taking the time to look at it and offer help.

I will get that sorted out and find the one matching my PN.

Then I can move on to the actual "hard" stuff.

I will update with a correct file when I find one.

Edit: I misread the your reply.

Just to confrim, you are saying I should just use the matching files that have a good graph that are not from my ECU? Will this work correctly? Would it be worth trying to find a matching map or doesnt matter?

I really just needed a "known good" starting place so I dont make the whole process harder than it already is.

For further information, the car is heavily modified: Big turbo swap, emissions deleted, turboback 3 inch (no cats), FMIC, external wastegate, forge clone DV, currently stock MAF size (wanted to be able to adjust fueling when changed, if and when I run out of sensor)

It was someones elses project that ran into electrical and money problems that I took over.

No DTCs besides a SAI code and an airbag open circuit for the driver seatbelt connector. (want to find a replacement housing before i break it open and fix wires.

I used your instructions to search down the software version.

Worked great and found the Software version.

I could have spent forever trying to find that.

Yes, you can crossflash the other version with no problems.
