Hello guys

I was wondering if it is possible to change the ecu from 3.8.2 to 3.8.3.
Beacuse i saw m3.8.2 and m3.8.3 in audi a3 1.8 but cant find any ecu m3.8.3 in 2.4
Will it work if i put 1.8 ecu in 2.4 ?

It won't work , for sure 1.8t ecus don't have hardware for 6 cylinder
If you want flashable ecu thru OBD the upgrade your engine to a drive by wire throttle , me7 ecu and engine loom etc. - like from engines code ARJ and similar

Send that useless engine to trash... Same consumption as 2.8 with less performance...
What are you hoping to accomplish?

My friend have car with that engine and he asked me to make some pops and stuff like that so I was curious if something like this can be modified to write through

So just buy a 1.8 ECU then and then realize it won't work.
V6 has twice the hall sensors, and 2 more injector outputs. I don't think the 1.8 ECU has more than 4 injector drivers etc.

Either way you can always socket the thing and flash some chips, but lol pops...

The USA market had a 2.8l 30v equipped with m5.9.2  ecu and no immobilizer.  I can't imagine the 2.4 and the 2.8 being much different aside from displacement. I've done a me7 2.4l 30v and injectors, and maf are the same as the 2.8l 30v. I can't speak for sure but I'd think the m5.9.2 ecu could run the 2 4 without a problem
