please can anyone see anything wrong with this file? it has been on this car for like 8 years so must be some improvements

Looking at cat heating, its got TKHMX 0'D
But FHOKH looks better if raised up.

Cant see the secondary air delete on it? but its been deleted and not throwing codes?

Inlet flaps delete looks a mess of a "hit everything approach" is there a simpler method?

Trying to improve cold very light throttle judder from deflap on car,

Cars got all new injectors, maf, coil packs, walnut blast, deflapped, people say this judder cannot be tuned out.... challenge accepted

Will add to mappack as i go as damo's file is for newer file version and offsets are all over the shop

So it looks like a flap delete, but they moved the timing maps over to the flap tables incorrectly... so its running crazy timing when it thinks the flaps are closed...

CDKAT is off, and Diag for Flaps.  I dont see anything around SAI deleted though. could just be me. If you dont need to have emissions pass for your SAI if you play with FHOKH the test will never run. Had that happen to a couple people. If you need more information you can PM me for help on this. the judder can be removed though they didnt touch that part (KFWDKMSBXN).

There is zero reason to move any ignition tables anywhere, the flap actuation from the module can just be disabled (forced always open) and all diagnosis disabled, and you have correct VE model and timing...

Can do it that way too. But assuming he/she asks for your help, i dont know how to do it that way correctly. So i was offering the help i could provide. I keep the flaps open, make sure sensors dont fail tests, and then i make all the timing tables the same. Takes 2 seconds extra and then i know whats going on.

Original Post - If your not having SAI issues then you should read the MPC file as well. there is most likely logic in there helping.

thanks for responses guys, life got in the way after i learnt enough of me7 so buying this has awaken the taste for knowledge.

PRJ,
Would you care to point me in the right direction to get this flap delete correct? I've got the readily available me9 funcktionsrahmen but i get a bit lost in the flap sections

Bamofo,
I've moved that KFWDKMSBXN and most other tables around it into my mappack now.

I was quite surprised how much timing this thing has in the tables tbh, i'm not picking fault at the original tuner as the car was tuned in 2016 so quite some time ago. Once i saw the KRKE changes as well it was never getting ran on uk 95ron even in emergencies.

But knowledge has increased and things are likely done better ways these days.

I've also got most of the file versions from Audi now. I was looking at the 0090sw which is reported to fix smoke on startups and generally feel nicer.
The changes between 0080 and 0090 dont include KFWDKMSBXN but there is a lot of cam phasing changes and lots more ive not had time to cross check etc

Search for the control and activation conditions and make it keep flaps always open.
Disable any errors by disabling the relevant diagnosis and/or endstage diagnosis, not by deleting faults.
It's very easy, but I'm not going to go through the FR to look up what to do and spoon feed it to you.

Editing timing maps is never needed! If it ever switches around then the timing is the last of your problems!
You are going to have wrong load calculated and massive timing intervention.

might be random ramblings but had a chance to spend some time tonight,

CWBGLBK bit 0 set to 0 stops C_Ready being true which seems to kill most
CWBGLBK bit 1 set to 0 stops overrun adaption

So CWBGLBK set to 0 looks too stop adaptions and learning of flaps

CWLBK bit 0 seems to prevent change in flap position

I've also become  confused about KFLBKHOKHS function in lbksol and its effect on the engine

I also installed deflapped intake manifolds a few times and coded out the endstage diagnosis. I think there are different ways to achieve the wanted goal.

After i have read that thread i took a look in the FR just to find a nicer way to do it.

From what I have read to open the flaps all the time the easiest way is to set CWLBK to 2 -> Bit 1 set and then set KFLBKAPP to all 0.

From my understanding if you set the bit like ive mentioned the desired value of the flaps are always like in the application Map.

Please correct me if im wrong.

Anyway: if you remove the flaps, disabling diagnoses worked all the time.
