Anyone ever heard of the Oilpressure Problem with these engines?

A friend of mine has one of these cars and the timingchain is quite noisy.

After doing some research I found out, that the car has a "needs-based" Oil Pump with 2 stages. And Audi made in 2012 an Update to the ECU so the Pump runs in stage 2 all the time.

In the TTRS damos floating around I did not found any kind of map that could control that function. Maybe someone knows about it.
