Is 12 amps stated from the manufacturer?   That sounds a bit high for a fuel pump.  The average is about half that.

OEM wiring is 1,5mm², that is between AWG 15 and 16.
I use 4mm² wiring for an Walbro 535 that draws a little more than 20A at high pressure (high engine load).

If you want to do it proper, run a wire 12 or 10 gauge with a inline fuse block directly from the battery positive battery terminal and use a 30 amp relay to switch the power on and off. Use the original fuel pump power supply to power the coil on the new 30 amp relay. Run normally open from the relay to the new fuel pump and ground the new fuel pump to the chassis.  Its quite easy

It does not, you would need to adapt the logic to monitor pressure as well as fit a pressure sensor in the manifold...
I think also this is way too complicated for someone who asks "WHAT AWG".
