Good Day guys i have been around this forum for some time . Learning about tuneing the ME7 ecus . I have a Project S3 8L apy engine with the following specs

Bosch 550 EV14 injectors
Wagner FMIC
Forge Diverter valve
Forged Rods
3"Down pipe and Cat Delete
SAI delete
n249 delete
new FPR 3 BAR
KO4 rebuilt

ECU specs are as follows

ME7.5
HWNumber    = 0261206796
SWNumber    = 1037354092
PartNumber  = 8L0906018N
SWVersion   = 0002
EngineId    = 1.8L R4/5VT

Some background with the car , i have had someone try to tune the car but with out success . So i have decided to attempt the tune my self .

I have setup my Hex Can cable to work with both NefMoto flasher and ME7 visual Logger. With this car i have to set the Connection to SLOW-0x00 in order to connect to the ecu with the engine running .
it connects using SLOW-0x11 with ignition on but once the engine is started the connection drops .

START OF TUNING

FUEL

So my first step was fueling for the 550 cc injectors i adjusted the following :

Orig values for Bosch 386cc injectors
KRKTE  0.0832
KVB  377.81
TVUB  1.7408  1.1392  0.8096  0.5984  0.4416

Values for Bosch 550CC injectors
KRKTE  0.0576
KVB  527.11
TVUB  2.6976  1.5392  1.1200  0.7296  0.5216

Start up was good  once the car warmed up the STFT idle was about 4% , I took the car for a little drive but it seemed to behave strangely. it felt like i was randomly going in to boost , under the same conditions . Some time in 2nd gear at 4000 rpm i feel like i am getting some power then , other times i feel like there is no boost . I did some logs which you can see in the attachment .This prompted me to do a smoke check and i have found some leaks  on the intake after the MAF . After repairs to leaks i will test the car again and do some logs and keep you guys updated .

sorry i forgot the attachments , My logs are too big to attach right now so i will work on logging fuel and boost alone when my intake leaks are fixed .

you should add more variables into the logger.
you need throttle plate angle and ignition retard on all 4cyl
you have to learn how to read a lox with ecuxplot software
you have reduce boost below sensor limit
you have to fix your fuel pump

i have only checked your log

thank you for the response

i will look in the all of the above .Strangely this is a new fuel pump. When you say i have reduced boost below sensor limit what do you mean exactly . I m learning as i go along
thank you for the input .

The ecm can only “see” 2,560 mbar boost. Anything above that is still 2,560 as far as the ECM knows, this is bad. Lower boost request to keep actual boost lower so that if/when overboost occurs it is still within the sensor maximum and can be brought back under control effectively.

Hey thank you for your response , the logs came from ecu with stock tune with the following modifications for Bosch 550CC injectors. the load request should not be any where near to the 2560mb

KRKTE  0.0576
KVB  527.11
TVUB  2.6976  1.5392  1.1200  0.7296  0.5216

From the logs the max boost desired was a little above 1700 mBar. also on the time scale at 11.725 there is a drop in desired boost pressure from that 1700 to almost 1300mbar  in 3rd gear at around 4800 rpm this behaviour looks a bit odd

Your stage 1+ is just a stock file with base changes for your 550s

Correct i just changed the fueling to match the 550cc and loaded it not the the ecu and took some logs . i am seeing strange behaviour . and have found some leaks on both the boost and exhaust system. fixed those and took more logs. Hopefully i will soon get to spend some more time with the car i have made a stage 1 file using some guidance for the ME7wizzard excel calculator and alot of thread reading on here .
