I have Hex - Can cable from ross-tech. I updated my d2xx drivers also dont have it boot in intelligent mode. tried refreshing devices in nefmoto and still no luck reading the cable. Any help is appreciated!

I have ori and also dont work. In my case only china cables work fine.

you need to install the correct drivers.
both my china cable and rosstech cable work perfectly fine

The latest "direct usb" drivers from ross tech do not work. Try the older USB drivers or the VCP drivers.

I installed the old driver with vcp, then followed the steps on Ross tech site and then Manually installed the port driver as website. And then used me7eeprom to read by odb

i have two china cables. one ftdi from ebay and a hex+can vcds cable from china. has full version of vcds with updates lol 20$
both work flawlessly in nefmoto. i use the ftdi cable to read eeprom and what not in other programs
+ i think it uses the legit drivers too
