Hello everyone,
this October I'm going to start a new project: an E90 318i with a 1.8T. The plan is to go +/- 400hp with an AGU engine as a base. Now my question is pretty standard:
Which ECU do you think I should run? The ME7.5 with most likely an arduino to connect to the rest of the car or should I try a piggyback on the stock 318i (I know its a 2.0l) ecu or maybe an entirely different solution?
I wanna daily this so a little traction control is very welcome that's why I believe that ME7.5 with an arduino and possibly also a ABS pump/module swap is the best option. I would really like to hear your guys' input on this Cheesy

Use a MaxxECU and call it a day, it has a preset for E9x CAN Bus, which otherwise would be a pain in the ass to figure out yourself.

C167 does not have enough messageboxes for CAN communication to be compatible with BMW BN2000 network.

Yeah I know about MaxxECU, its going to be my last resort if I'm unable to do it myself. C167 is not going to send E90 Cans, an arduino with MCP2515 is going to read me7.5 cans and send necessary e90 cans. I found some info about the CAN network in the E90 on github and bimmerforums so I think it's doable.
Am I not thinking about something? Is atmega too slow or maybe arduino too unreliable for this?
I will of course post my progress when time comes, so far the only thing that I have for this project is the turbo ( Cheesy ), so I got long ways to go.
