Hi All,

I've playing around here for a while and tuning my own car just for fun. This weekend I'm trying to tune fueling right since I'm running lean.
It's a 1.8T with stock 317cc injectors plus a 4,5bar fpr. I'm running a k04/e05.

I've been playing with KRKTE, TVUB and FKKVS.

First, I managed to get the right KRKTE value, since my fuel (here at Brazil) isn't pure gas, it's a mixture = 75% gas + 25% ethanol. This value is 0.08314. Idle seems to be fine with this value.
I just 1'ed entire FKKVS and tried to tune it on the areas I need it. But the results is: I need to increase FKKVS areas to like 1.30 past 3000 rpm to get LambdaControlAvg near 1.0. Is this right?!?

I just multiplied entire TVUB by 15% (I read here that when you increase FPR you increase the injectors lag).

The symptom that I cannot figure out how to fix is: LambdaControlAvg is correcting the fueling, and at 4250RPM the car start to go lean no matter what I change.
First tried with stock 3bar fpr, then 4bar fpr, then 4,2fpr than this 4,5fpr. Even with more pressure the symptom  is the same: past exactly 4250RPM the car starts to lean out. Why? I sincerely have no idea where what maps to change to fix this out.

Question: is my injectors still little for this setup and no matter what FPR I use the results will always be the same?

Thanks for the help.

Your injectors are far too small for a K04, even at 4bar I believe.  Why not run the TT225 injectors? (386cc).

How many grams per second (g/s) is your MAF reporting?  Above 180 g/s, your injectors will struggle to keep up, *especially* if your ethanol content is 25%.

Please see attached log. Only a 2th gear pull.
Filter 2th gear, 4500 minimun run on ECUxplot and you'll see what I'm talking about.

@kenmac: I'll buy deka's 630cc for it, but for now I'm trying to understand things before start buying parts Smiley

Yeah, my pump is stock. The car has 40k miles.

Attached another log I did now. You can see a 3rd pull and a 5th gear pull. Now I did this pull with 95 octane gas (Brazilian Podium) but the gas still has 25% ethanol on it, so the octane is higher than this but the consumption a little higher too.

What do you recommend professor? New injectors and a new pump too?

New pump for sure.

Best option for me is APR SA000019 (stock location capable of 400hp).

Also you ll need bigger injectors and 3bar fpr, not 4.5 you stress fuel pump too much, to expand the capabilities of the K4. Bosch EV14 52lb would be great for bigger turbo also.

And dont push your car, really injectors and pump struggle to drain your fuel mix.
